shalom from eretz yisrael!

oy. so this is the first time that i've been able to get on the internet since i've been here three days ago...and what a long three days it has been. i actually have journal entries to type up, but since i currently am unable to get internet on my laptop and there's no internet in our room, i'll get to that later. so, it's a bit overwhelming to be here. in America, they hold your hand through everything and have stuff planned for almost every moment of the day. here, we get to Hebrew u and they're like...oh, you're in Israel, bye. we're all so confused and disoriented. but that's normal...or so i hear.
we started ulpan yesterday, and i'm in level gimmel, which is apparently really impressive, because everyone else is in alef or bet. but today's class was really easy...so, i dunno.
my roomates are really cool, emily and katie...and nelly, who we don't really know because she lives with her boyfriend and is getting married next month, but leah might stay for the semester and move in if she does.k
it's really hot here, and with the walk to and from campus to the dorms every day at least twice i'm gonna be a twig when i get back...no joke.
